Nationals 2025 will be a week I’ll never forget. Our team fought hard and proudly finished 3rd in the nation — a huge accomplishment. Personally, I reached the doubles semi-final #2 and the singles final #6 — a run that earned me Second Team All-American honors in singles.
Thanks to my ranking, I received a first-round bye on Day 1. It gave me a valuable chance to rest, reset, and get fully focused.
On Day 2, I started confidently with a 6–0, 6–0 win in singles, followed by a dominant 6–1, 6–0 victory in doubles. I was feeling sharp and ready for the challenges ahead.
Day 3 brought another strong singles performance, winning 6–2, 6–1. Our doubles match was a real fight — after dropping the first set, we battled back and took it in three: 4–6, 6–4, 6–2.
Rain disrupted Day 4, and all matches were moved indoors to the SMU facility in Dallas. Only doubles were played, and unfortunately, we couldn’t find our flow, falling 2–6, 1–6.
Day 5 was the big one — two singles matches back-to-back. I played with confidence and precision in the semifinal, winning 6–4, 6–1 to reach the final. In the championship match, I truly felt in rhythm and gave everything I had. But my opponent played at an exceptional level that day, and despite my best efforts, I lost 1–6, 2–6. It was high-level tennis, and I came off the court proud of how I competed.
Even though I didn’t take the title, finishing as runner-up and being named a Second Team All-American means a lot to me. Add to that a 3rd place with the team — and it all adds up to an unforgettable week of tennis, growth, and gratitude.
On top of all those accomplishments, I finished my first year of college with a 4.0 GPA.
