2nd place at the Basel Open 2023

Over the weekend I played in Basel (SUI) at the Basel Open 2023. In the round of 16 I won 6:1/6:1. The momentum continued into the quarterfinal, where I faced a tougher challenge, but ultimately triumphed with a hard-fought 2:6/6:2/6:0 victory.

The following day witnessed an intense semifinal, a match filled with ups and downs. Despite losing the first set 3:6, I rallied back with determination, claiming the second set 6:2. The tension reached its peak in the third set, culminating in a thrilling 7:6 win, securing my place in the coveted final. Unfortunately, the final match proved to be a formidable test, resulting in a 6:7/1:6 defeat. Even though I lost in the final, I am really proud with how I played and fought. Every match was a learning experience, and I’m motivated to improve my skills the upcoming week.
